Mohan Babu University in Tirupati has suffered a major setback. The Higher Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission has cracked down on the institution for charging high fees from students and not disclosing income. It has imposed a fine of Rs. 15 lakh. The commission found that an additional Rs. 26.17 crore was collected from students from 2022-23 to September 2024.
